More Socks Talk

Hi,

In November, I made a vast array of sock animals, some to sell at a trade fayre, and some as Christmas gifts, the leopard material one is actually a kitten made from a glove, that was different, and funny to make ;), shame I can't find the other glove though :s

Sock Zebra...

I made this little dude for my friends daughter in Canada, a true Zebra fanatic

White socks with black felt for the stripes, I added sparkly rhinestones to add a bit extra on his eyes...

Sock Snakes

Sock Snakes, great fun to make, about an hour each with the sewing machine, you can make two with one knee high sock, I especially like the eyes on this one, hahaahha

One tip I have learned quite early on is to not waste money on expensive stuffing for these soft toys, I have been buying cheap pillows as the stuffing is safe, and then making a sacrifice for a worthy cause :)

This is Beegee, our newest arrival, created yesterday, 26th July 2011, and completed today, made from two baby socks from George by asda (new), I especially like the way his tail turned out, quite cute indeed.

This is Bubbles, one of my sisters Birthday presents this year, quite simple to make from one trainer sock, an old skirt belt, and the usually trimmings such as ribbon, bell and eyes, turned out really well :D

Well, I have made quite a few sock creatures of late, ranging guinea pigs, to ickle baby fish made from Joe's socks, as well as baby sock monkeys made from baby socks, here they are below:
