International Wave Of Light

As today is the last day in the Babyloss Awareness Week, we take part in the International Wave of Light, where you light a candle and let it burn from 7pm to 8pm, through the timezones, this creates a wave of light for 24 hours. We released some lanterns into the sky, a couple of them were quite naughty and came down again but they did eventually all go up :) beautiful.

Little Things

Ok so I don't know if this is right but, on the 23rd July 2009, we layed our little boy to rest, when we were showing people round the garden, we saw a little frog by the pond, it was nice, so sweet, as if he sent him to say, hey, im here. Around 2 months ago I noticed a leaf in the porch, it was first thing in the morning, I don't know how it got in as the door was shut. Only it wasn't a leaf, I reached down to pick it up and realised it was a little frog. I didn't want him to go out the front as the only water is the rhine by the main road, so I put him in a box, and released him into our little pond, the next day, I couldn't find him, and assumed that he had left. Tonight, I started my new pond project, I was emptying the little one to move it at the weekend, when he reappeared :) he's great, so cute, he has possibly been with us since we moved in here, which is a lovely thought. Im not sure actually whether there are a couple of them in there, but I guess I will find out when we move them. I am going to have to move the little pond into the empty flower bed, then refill it, then dig the big pond out and move them into it, they will be so excited!!! yay :)

Ok, so I was waiting for my tea, and knocked this one up :) not bad for ten minutes work :)

Another Weekend Spent

So here we are, at the end of another weekend, tomorrow is Monday, I wonder what the week will bring, a few certainties for sure, but a whole load of uncertainty too. Tonight, I made a card for family as we have a funeral on wednesday, so will be a sad week.

Apologies for my absence, I have been really quite unwell the last few weeks with Joe's first birthday and other things in my life, Joe's birthday itself was quite gentle, we released his special balloon and a few days later got an email from a lady in Oxfordshire, 101 miles away from the release :)

I seem to be improving and on the other side of it now and although i am still under the care of the NHS etc, I am hoping to be back to as normal as possible as quickly as possible. Unfortunately as I was so bad, I was shaky for quite a while, so not been able to do much in the way of stitching etc... I have figured out how to make cross stitches myself from my own photographs, which will come in handy. I've bought some Aida and some spangly thread so hopefully will be playing with that as soon as I am well enough. I have just finished a large project for a special friend to me, took me much longer than it should of done as I was not up to speed, a memorial piece for her beautiful son, also born to heaven like Joe. I will post a picture of this work after tomorrow, which is his birthday in heaven. Happy Birthday William xx9xx ^j^

FMN and butterfly stamp

Hey,

I bought a stamp kit a while back, so cant take credit for the outlines, but I did colour it in myself, in between the lines, probably a little bit with my tongue out....

look at the world dont just "see" look past the outside

There is so much beauty all around us, 2 days ago, I was leaving for work, dreading my day, when I looked at the garden, full of colour and newness, as I got into my car, My son sent me a gift from afar, one of his butterflies, he fluttered past me and was flying around quite confused in our porch, I helped him to get back outside, at the cost of me not being in work 20 minutes earlier, the little precious visitor was safely rescued, he sat on my hand for ages and posed for photographs, it literally made my day, and you know what? I can still feel it on my hand :)

Rush rush rush, STOP!!!!!! The world is going so fast I might just get flung off the edge.

So, I've done a couple of my arty things this week, unable to share until after an event next week, but I will do, ones a card, ones a piece of jewellery.

I'm not sure what I am doing with this blog to be honest, perhaps its part of me finding myself, thanks very much to my lovely friend LS, who is much more than just a colleague to me :), yep, you rock :D and thank you for your patience xx

I'm also trying to sort my mobile to allow me to blog on the go with my photos of randomness!!

So, the name might change, it might not, it might be interesting, it might not. But you can bet your bottom dollar, it will be random, because I try to be, I would rather have bubbles than be a mouse who doesnt want to be heard.

Blog Virgin

Hi,

So, ok, this is my first blog post. And instantly I have writers block. Hardly surprising as its seven minutes past midnight on a friday night and i have partaken in some cider to assist the weekend wind down.

Had a busy few days at work, integrating new systems, and just trying to be wonderwoman to get it all done, triumph over adversity. Plod on, never give up.

We had an away day at work on wednesday, the coach got stuck on a bridge, was not the team building we had anticipated, a few of us started to walk the "two" miles to the hotel, which ended up being 10 miles oh well, god bless the heroes who came to get us in cars.

During the away day, there was some happy clapping and singing, I just want to quote:

"One love, one heart, lets get together and feel alright"
